035 - He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

036 - But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

037 - And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

038 - And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

039 - Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

040 - And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

041 - I receive not honour from men.

042 - But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

043 - I am come in my Father`s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

044 - How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

045 - Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

046 - For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

047 - But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

001 - After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.

002 - And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

003 - And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

004 - And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

005 - When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

006 - And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

007 - Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

008 - One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter`s brother, saith unto him,

009 - There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

010 - And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

011 - And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

012 - When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

013 - Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

014 - Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

015 - When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

016 - And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,

017 - And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.

018 - And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.

019 - So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.

020 - But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.

021 - Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

022 - The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;

023 - (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)

024 - When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.

025 - And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

026 - Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

027 - Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
